Now that many people’s finances are getting even tighter entirely due to the credit crunch, the idea of making money online is getting more and more attractive. One of the first things many people hear about is something entitled “affiliate marketing.”  While there is a plentiful supply of information out there to give most people “information overload”, the basic concept is fairly simple.

As in most business plans, market research is the first step in the process.

First, you must research markets you are interested in. This is your top priority when starting out in any business  and you can do this by finding out what your potential customers want. This is the essence of “keyword research” – finding the actual words or phrases people type into search engines to find answers to their problems, and you can be certain that if you do not do your research, you will live to regret it.

By finding and using keywords that consumers are actively putting into search engines, you will ensure that your websites and landing pages rank higher, generating a non stop storm of organic, targeted traffic. All potential customers eager to buy from you

Keyword research doesn’t have to be a difficult task, however. You can start with the free Google Keyword Tool, which can be found by searching for “Google keyword tool external,” and enter in a keyword or phrase that identifies the product or niche that you are interested in promoting as an affiliate. Another tool that will help you to find the keywords that will help you to promote your website is PPC WEB SPY.

Click on “get keyword ideas” to generate a list of keywords and gauge the competitiveness of the market by taking a look at the number of times people are searching for your main keywords per month.

What you need to do is find a market with existing high demand that also has existing competition and products readily available, but not so competitive that ranking highly is almost impossible.

What’s important here is to remember there must be a market for whichever product you choose to market. Since you are an affiliate, your initial outlay to enter a market is minimal, but  it’s imperative to take the time to do your  research so as to avoid wasting your time.

Perfect Traffic Storm is a new site that says it guarantees more web visitors and online advertising with very little effort or cost.  More importantly, it promises higher CONVERSIONS–signups and sales.  So I decided to put it to the test…

My first impression was the site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel.  It is easy to read and understand.  Joining the site was easy and painless–they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.

The Members Area is very well laid out and intuitive–I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up and running in less than 5 minutes.  Inside the site, you create links and ads–the links you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into “Perfect Traffic Storm” links.  You create ads for anything you want to promote using the Perfect Traffic Storm Ad Generator, which is very easy to use.  You can create as many links and as many ads as you like.  And they are organized in a logical way–links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference.  Also, since the link generator is the tool you’ll use most, it is also right at the top of the main page when you login.  Very smart!

After you’ve created at least 1 link and 1 ad you can start to generate traffic.  Just use and promote the new Perfect Traffic Storm link instead of the original source link you had.  Every time the Perfect Traffic Storm link is clicked, the page loads followed by a small ad window in the lower right corner.  It displays 3 ads PLUS an image with your affiliate link that goes back to Perfect Traffic Storm.  So if anyone clicks the Perfect Traffic Storm image they see the site, and if they signup they become your referral.  It’s a great viral feature because you can build referrals without even trying to just by using the site.

There is one more benefit and feature which might be the best of them all–downline emailing.  You can email your downline with offers, promotions, or whatever you like, and here is where Perfect Traffic Storm really shines.  They took time to make the emailing often enough that it’s valuable as a user, but no so often that it’s a burden to your downline.  But the best part about this feature (and actually the credit earning too) is that it tells you exactly how long until you can mail again.  Now THAT’s cool.

Overall I have to say I am impressed with Perfect Traffic Storm.  It is simple yet powerful, and delivers on its promises.  Highly recommended to anyone who wants to increase traffic and advertising.

Blogs which are also known as web logs are the new thing on the internet. They are pretty much a platform that you can use that will allow you to post your thoughts on most any subject that you want to. They can be used for journaling, promoting, writing, and publishing, anything that your heart desires. However, if you are a beginner and new blogging as well as marketing, there are some very important things that you will want to know.

Blog marketing is pretty easy if you have a marketing mind. You are going to find that many people use blogs as a diary, and many times these blogs that are used for this purpose are not intended to make them money, but simply a way to put there thoughts out there and find others that are going through the same thing. If you have never even had a blog before, the simplest thing that you can do is to start one, and just journal in it for a while. This will allow you to learn just what it takes and what it is all about to keep up a blog. When you are just journaling your thoughts and what is on your mind, you have nothing to lose and nothing to gain. You don’t even have to make your blog public if you don’t want others to read what you have to say. That is a personal preference. However, doing this will let you see how it works. Then you can move on to trying to market a product or a service.

Using a blog to market something is cheaper than using a website. This is because there are so many free ones out there that you can use to get the word out, and they are really just as good as having a website that you pay for. There are of course some advantages to having your own URL, but for a beginner, a free one will work until you get the hang of it and want to move it all over onto your own server. The free blogs are just not that customizable. If you are not familiar with HTML, you are going to find that your blog will look like everyone else’s. But, that is ok in the beginning. You can always make changes later on once you are becoming successful.

When you have your own blog, you are in charge of the content that is posted on it. You can decide what is said, and what is not. You are after all writing it all, right? So, the sky is the limit. Whether you want a blog that does website reviews and takes nominations, or you want to sell things that you make out of your home, the choice is yours. Using a blog to get the word out about whatever you want too is a great way to market and promote something.

Blog marketing can get complicated if you let it. It is really only as hard as you make it. While there are some bloggers out there that are making a six figure income with the use of blog marketing, we all know that it can be done. We just want to know how. Well, for any beginner, start small, and be consistent. The six figure bloggers all did. They started with one, built it up, and then added another blog, built it up. Then, keeping up both blogs and not letting them fall behind, they continued to add more and more. Of course they had help, and they outsourced a lot of their work. If you are looking to make a massive income with blogging, you will need some help.

Blog marketing is a great thing to learn. If you can sell things from a blog, you can sell them anywhere. Making money by using a blog is one of the most satisfying things that you will ever learn how to do. Just do not expect to make money over night, know that you have to work at it consistently everyday, and remember to put into it what you want to get out of it.

There’s a chat room for just about every subject imaginable these days. Peruse the popular Paltalk chat rooms (the largest service of its kind for “live” interaction) and you’ll find everything from instruction on day trading futures and Forex, to support groups for your overweight guinea pig.

According to Gary Bacchetti (aka The Gentle Mentor) who teaches Internet Marketing tips and tricks to Newbies on the service, it was a room waiting to happen. “I can’t believe no one paid attention to this struggling group.”

On the service there were several marketers pushing MLM programs but appeared to be little more than hype rooms. “Find a need and fill it - and that’s exactly what I did.” I feel like the Pied Piper of Internet Marketing for Newbies.”

Aspiring entrepreneurs pop in nightly, thirsty for information about autoresponders, list building secrets, tips, tricks, shortcuts, what works and doesn’t work.

It was the morning after Alex Jeffreys module 7,and the last in the series of his coaching programme. Alex Jeffreys gave us students some final (for the present time) very important pointers to his class of 2008  would be, hopefully will be successful Internet Marketers.

As I told you in my last post, my daytime job has virtually gone because of the credit crunch and I now am seriously planning my future as an Internet marketer.

The daily task of looking through masses of emails from other marketers and seeing what was going on in some selected ads and deleting others, seemed to be taking a long time. Perhaps I was looking for something that would spark my imagination and give me inspiration for my next post.

Hello to everybody,

It has been a while since my last post and much water has flowed under the bridge and my plans with it.

My daytime job has been credit crunched, reduced from 5 days a week to 1 and so my prority at the moment has been to find another 4 days  work to pay the bills until my Internet Marketing takes off.

In addition to that my laptop had to be returned to the company and my own laptop crashed.  The hard drive needed to be replaced.  I have not been able to recover all my “stuff” from my old hard drive or my company laptop. I never thought my hard drive would pack up and so this was a real wake up call. Always make sure that you keep a back up copy of your information.

Problems, problems nothing but problems.

Moving on, I  follow Brad Callen on Twitter  who is an SEO “guru”. His latest Keyword Tool has got to be the coolest on the PLANET.
